Roxyzin 10mg acts as an antidepressant and provides relief in cases of anxiety or tension. It is a sedative that lowers the activity of the nervous system. It also works as an antihistamine. Roxyzin 10mg Tablet is also used to cure certain skin allergies.

It can also be used in combination with other medications for the purpose of anesthesia.

Pharmacology

Hydroxyzine, which belongs to the piperazine derivative class, acts by blocking histamine H1-receptors on various effector cells in the gastrointestinal tract, blood vessels, and respiratory tract. It is classified as a sedating antihistamine with additional antimuscarinic properties, meaning it can inhibit the effects of acetylcholine in certain parts of the body. Hydroxyzine is known for its significant sedative effects, making it useful for promoting relaxation and reducing anxiety.
